Er, what now? I've adopted rescue dogs before and responsible rescues are VERY honest with you about the dog's history and potential problems, if they know it. Of course every animal should be treated respectfully, but if an animal has a history of behavioral issues, they may need careful handling above and beyond what you normally do for an animal who does not have a track record of behavioral issues.

If a rescue lies about an animal's past history and behavioral issues, they are 100% to blame if there's an incident later and the animal pays for that mistake. THAT'S why they disclose these things.
