I don't much like the scenes of Eowyn in battle - I think the filmmakers leaned too hard on the concept of her being exhausted (Jackson kept pushing for take after take after take with no breaks according to the appendices) and overwhelmed by the experience of battle. There's BTS footage of a cut scene from Two Towers of Eowyn fighting in the Glittering Caves and it looks fucking awesome, though.

Maybe that explains why she seems so... slow and just physically done? Bad directing call, in that case.

Yeah, Lawrence Makoare (who was playing the Witchking for that scene) said something about how he was watching her and was worried she might collapse cause Jackson wouldn't stop.
