Re: What is your favorite movie that has an unhappy ending?

technically it's a bittersweet ending but.. a docudrama based on real life events called "The Interrogation of Michael Crowe" I was a huge CourtTV (now truTV) junkie as a teen and that movie just caught my attention and made me follow the case for years.

It's about a girl who was murdered in California in the 1980s. Her brother was singled out as a suspect by the police. They broke laws in order to convince the poor kid that he and his friends did this (or at least to confess to it) and just tormented the three kids. Their evidence was basically "he likes dark stuff and video games and once he wrote a story about a character who considered killing his sibling. Dungeons and Dragons is evil type shit basically.

Then the family eventually sued the police station for how they treated the kids. The movie ends with the boy no longer under investigation but still haunted by what he was put through.
