I get really nostalgic because it reminds me of hearing it on the school bus when I was a kid. Then I think of all the weird kids who rode that bus with me. But that's just my personal association. (I like the song itself, btw, it's just one of those things that has specific memories attached so my mind immediately makes the connection.)

No judgment here, OP. I also dance with an invisible partner when I hear this song (fortunately, I almost never hear it in public), though in my case, it's a choreographed dance I made up, and I always pretend it's a scene in a movie where two people are rekindling their romance on the dance floor.

(Also, upon reading your secret, I immediately found the song on Youtube and started doing the dance. Sincerely, thanks for that. It had been a while.)

I don't dance with an imaginary partner when I hear this song, but I do dance, and as sensually as I can, at that (if I'm alone that is). And usually I imagine really sexy fictional scenarios to go with the music. :P

Usually I would think a song like Smooth was way too OTT, but somehow Smooth specifically doesn't feel OTT to me - just deliciously sensual and hot, in a way pretty much no other song in my music library is.
