It doesn't really look like a monster.

Like... it looks like a dog crossed with a hippo.

I think so too! Like seriously it's got the build and color of a hippo and the face and legs are kind of doggish.

Maybe it's not meant to be a scary monster?

It's not, based on the trailer meant to be a like a sort "gentle giant" pig creature. The plot is that it's stolen in order to be bred and butchered for food and the main character is trying to get it back.

Beat me to it. I mean, hippos kill a lot of people, and feral dogs can be dangerous, but this thing looks ugly-cute, like a big pug.
