I forgot to put the butter in the dough. You can definitely bake bread without butter or oil but maybe you shouldn't try to make rolls out of it which I did.

Yeah I'm always happy when I'm done cleaning it. If I start early enough in the day I should be OK.

Oh, yeah probably not best for rolls (need that tenderness). But you definitely don't need it for just a loaf of bread.
