It literally is. It's saying fans should treat black characters different than how they treat white characters. People fangirl/fanboy over characters like with terms of endearment all the time, so saying you can't use like or use stupid fan terms of endearment just because a character is black is segregationist bullshit. For fucks sake.

How would this be in reverse? Black people can't be fans of white characters or express fondness of those characters in typical fandom behavior ways.

Holy shit. They are just comic book characters. Stop making everything a battleground.
