I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, it would've been pretty cool for the reasons you said. On the other hand, I feel like Jedi twins was a little too predictable.

+1

As much as I love Jaina (...and only really her), the whole twins thing would be weird again. Then again, twins do run in families, but people don't always keep real biology in mind in those cases.

Agreed, OP.

I'm just kind of glad they didn't try to do book adaptions. Book adaptions are just so tricky to do well.

You're possibly sort of idealizing an automatic narrative of what it means to be a twin vs. any other separated sibling, but I can see what you mean if it's that element of two people raised very similarly ending up on very different paths that you're missing.

I'm glad the Solo twins are out for good. They weren't even all that interesting in the books, IMO.

Eh. I wasn't attached to the Solo Twins. I never did get into the books that dealt with them, so I'm just eh on the whole thing.

Though Rey isn't a Solo. Daisy debunked that BIG TIME at Celebration with that one interview with Mark. The one where Mark, despite feeling like crap, was just STARING AT HER like "Omg, stfu, Daisy!! Do you wanna get fired?!"

The one where she was comparing the fandom of now and their ardent speculation to when Empire came out. All in relation to the father business and her "I thought it was explained rather well."
