Got a Fidget Spinner the other week, just for the shit of it really. The decrease in my stress has been unbelievable I hadn't realised how much in need something to do with my hands or how much more relaxing it is.

Stupid thing I bought for a laugh actually seems to have improved my mental state.

A couple years ago I bought a cheap ottoman that looked like a die just because it was cute. I use that thing all the time. It's great as a stepstool, easily portable seat, temporary table, you name it.

I bought a hiking daypack on sale on a whim (it was such a good sale price!) and it has turned out to be the most useful and perfect daypack I've ever owned. I've used it minimum once a week since I bought it.

I bought a TENS unit for $25 when my local Kmart was closing. It wasn't my first choice brand (actually it was literally the only one they had left) but I'd been dragging my feet about getting one for ages because I typically see them going for twice that much. I'm glad I grabbed this one because it gave me the chance to try it out without worrying that I'd feel bad about wasting the money if it didn't work for me. Turns out it's really great for days when my pain is so bad I can't get out of bed; 30 minutes to an hour of quality time with the TENS unit and I actually feel almost functional. When the battery or pads run out I'm gonna finally spring for a better model.

Amazon has a great selection ranging from about $20-$50. They cost a lot more in my country so I ordered from there and even with international shipping I saved a lot of money.
