Marvel Comics Question

What sort of deal does the planet Mars get in Marvel comics? Is it our dead rock, or is there someone living there/lived there, in their continuity?

I don't think there's actually much of anything with Mars. I think it's mostly just... Mars.

I don't think it's ever come up. The presumption is that it is the same as it is in our world.

Although in a world with silver surfers and Star Lords, I wonder if marvels exploration of mar hasn't been advanced, and what if anything they found there.
