They're not likable romance options. That's the point. She's trapped in a horrible situation, she's unfortunately not the superhero able to fight vampires the way the people who hate the franchise want her to be. She's just trying to make the best of it.

I didn't expect her to be able to fight them, but reacting to their bullshit with more than a blank stare would have been cool. Fear, anger, crying, escape attempts, an internal monologue that wasn't literally restating what just happened... anything to suggest she had a personality. (Again, that's the anime, I don't know about the game.) I guess I don't understand the appeal when the guys are awful AND the girl is dumb and unrelatable.

Ah, yes. That's definitely the anime's fault, as is par the course for heroines in otoge adaptations...
