Eh? Not sure what you mean. It's no secret there's at least one anon on fs who's super touchy about any Whedon criticism. I like his work, but I'm not under the impression that he's flawless.

I don't dispute that Whedon has a cinematographic love of feet that makes me feel more than a little uncomfortable and faintly unclean, but I don't think he is quite at Tarantino-ish levels. Yet.

Yeah, Whedon is still at the stage where he at least tries to come up with a story reason for his foot fetish shots. He's still being decent enough to put a smokescreen around it. Tarantino doesn't give a shit anymore. I'm amazed he hasn't produced a movie which is just two hours of him shouting the word "nigger" and masturbating over a pair of severed feet.

I don't there us anything wrong with having a foot fetish. If that is your thing, have fun. At least Whedon doesn't put himself in movies so we got to see him suck on toes. And I guess bare feet are no different from sexy shots of chests or asses.

With Whedon I don't see it as much tbh. But I only watched Buffy and Angel, and sorta skimmed through Firefly.
