Ouch. I see that on Tumblr sometimes, and people get unbelievably pissy about the idea that anti-ace discrimination exists, often while engaging in it!

nayrt

I've stayed away from those tags on Tumblr because I've heard how awful they can be. I mostly stick to reddit for this kind of thing, strangely, but even on the specific subreddits you'll occasionally get people coming in and telling everyone what weird freaks they are. Or people who are all "I used to think I was ace, too, then I realized I actually wasn't, therefore no one is!" (which I've seen happen a ton here, too). It definitely gets old.

indeed. I saw someone get offended that aces/aros get correctively raped because I guess that... belongs to lesbians???

I don't know about you but I wouldn't want "prime candidate to get raped" as something that belongs to me.

I don't get people who are all like "how dare you say you ALSO suffer from this. I'M the only one who gets to suffer".

lets be honest , "discourse" in general kinda tends to suuuck.

"Discourse" is like "gourmet." If it says that on the label, it probably isn't.
