It's a bad script.

It really is bad. Mostly due to it being ... not much of a script but flowery prose where descriptors are there not for other people in production, unless it is somehow the worst first draft in history(since you would not really start a script like a novel).

Edit: I actually did not know he was not the chosen one in the end.

It's also nearly 12 years old and not the first time someone know for writing has written something bad.
