Because it's shit?
Because Steve Trevor is a giant asshole to Diana and has like 10x more lines than her?
Because Diana is sexualized in almost every scene she's in?
Because Diana is harassed and insulted by almost every man she meets?
Because at one point, Diana is actually compared to a prostitute?

...not really. Maybe in the very early ones, but most acclaimed comics featuring Diana don't feature any of what I said above, and for good reason.

Regardless, it's still a shit script.

Diana is sexualized in the comics. That's about the extent of the similarity. Steve in the comics is usually not even in focus that much.
