She's from rural East Africa somewhere, and before that from Cairo, and her father was from somewhere in the USA (Harlem?), because writers kept giving her more and more backstory. She's got ridiculous hair, and cat eyes.

I love Storm, but she's such a fairytale critter that she may as well be from Atlantis.
