Unless something happened before those tweets of his, it looks like he was the one. Simply not inviting someone to your wedding isn't "cutting ties."

That was what I thought too. I don't know how close they are. Maybe they're close enough that it would be expected. But there are people I've been getting together with every week for years whose weddings I wouldn't expect to get invited to.
