Most journal-based RP has moved to insanejournal, from what I gather.

Huh, really? I'm out of the loop. I thought the progression was LJ -> IJ -> DW, and then it's just sort of petered out or gone to private SLs on Discord or whatnot.

There's a lot of RP communities on IJ since they have an icon limit of a 100 icons for individual free accounts. The problem is that you need an invitation to IJ.

Can't say how many RP comms are active on DW, though. I've been out of the loop with RP as well.
