I just watched this and it was a lot of fun. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I love it. And I say that as a total Pride & Prejudice fan. It's so ridiculous and overthetop that I can't not love it. Plus Sam Riley as Darcy was perfect.

And the fight scene between him and Elizabeth. *__* Unf.

Agreed! I've seen the other P&P stuff and I just love how different productions reimagine the book, but this was on a whole other level. I loved the world-building, even if it didn't make a lot of sense. And the fight during the proposal was great.

I liked Collins too.

Yes, Matt Smith made a wonderful Mr. Collins, and Lena Headey was good Lady Catherine. ♥

Yes, she was! I was actually hoping for more from her. The scene between her and Elizabeth was great but Catherine really didn't do much during the scenes where Wickham was trying to tell them about negotiating with the zombies. I think it strange that she didn't know about Darcy and Wickham's history (apparently) or had more to say about the proposal. Also, they talked her up a lot but we don't actually get to see her in action against the zombies, which is a shame. I would've loved to see her and Elizabeth throw down together.

I only made it through part of it. But since I'm neither a fan of zombies nor Pride and Prejudice, I wasn't expecting to like it. A friend wanted to watch, and I agreed to watch with her. Eventually got up and found a book to read.

I did enjoy Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter, though.

I went to see it in theatres. I loved it.

Sam Riley made a wonderful Mr. Darcy, imo.

I thought so too. I was surprised when I went poking around my usual forums to see that so many people there thought he was terribly miscast when I thought he was superb. And gorgeous.

I remember when the trailers came out, I didn't think he was attractive enough to play the character, but his performance was great. He really nailed the nuance of Darcy being both a genuine asshole and a socially anxious introvert.

I watched it. Never really got into P&P or the zombie craze, but for some reason, marrying the two turned out really well.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of most Jane Austen works but not a purists. But I really don't like zombies, so I was also pleasantly surprised how well this worked.

I saw some of it while on a plane, but I only remember the beginning and the end because I fell asleep in the middle (I hadn't slept the night before and was really tired). I did like what I saw and I want to watch the whole movie one of these days.
