Have fun.

This made me realize I kind of miss sporking communities.

There's something cathartic about a good rage-on, you know? I once watched like an hour and a half long video essay of somebody ranting about why Sword Art Online is terrible, and enjoyed every minute of it.
And I found a good one for Sherlock, too.
It's like YES, FEED MY ANGER, GOOD.

also it's funny, but our icons looked to me for a minute almost like inversions of each other. Mine's got red hair/pale skin, yours has pale hair/red skin, and both have it long. /random

I mean, as long as it was strictly about the writing and no personal insults, it was just good fun. Like MST. Nobody ever went to leave flames on the fics themselves anyway, that I remember.

Warning: Violence?

That really depended on the community. I definitely remember seeing fics spiking in negative reviews around the sporking date, not always of the constructive variety. I specifically remember one time where one fic that was sporked by pottersues received a rather graphic review telling the author to slit their throat on the date of the sporking. The pottersues admin was not happy and called them out on it on an edit to the OP.

Sporking coms were tediously dull, imo. My eyes glazed over reading their posts, especially when they pulled out the multicolored entries to dramatically illustrate how baaad the suefic was. Often the targeted suefic was at least a bit more interesting than the sporker's drivel.

Yeah, there's a lot better ways to spend my time.
