Was in Thailand, and totally didn't notice the fruit I was eating got ant swarmed between one bite and the next.

I had a friend who was dating a Korean guy and was trying to learn how to make Korean dishes to impress him. She made kimchi one day and asked me to try it. Normally, I try to be polite when people present me their food experiments because I understand they're learning and I'm not the best cook myself, but I had to spit it out as soon as it touched my tongue. It was horrifically acrid, tasted nothing like kimchi, and I had to chug a ton of water and eat a spoonful of sugar to get the taste out of my mouth.

Bouillon cube. Thought it was candy (was 8 or so).

I used to eat those when I was a kid. Not the whole cube, but a little sliver every now and then. I thought they were delicious for some reason.

A spider. It somehow got in my mouth when I opened it to eat a chip. :(

raw meat.

This one time I put some chicken tender in the microwave not realizing it was completely uncooked (unlike most frozen chicken strips we got) until well I bit into it and it was slimy and raw. I threw it away and then, remembering that blueberries were known for helping your immune system, went and shoved some blueberries in my mouth in hopes they'd counteract salmonella or whatever disease might be in raw meat.

I mean I didn't get sick but it was pretty dumb.

I was eating raisins and dropped one, fished it out from under the couch and popped it in my mouth. It was not the raisin, it was an old rabbit dropping from my pet rabbit.

Raw chicken, overcooked meat with raw tomato sauce, a ton of raw food...

A friend of mine likes to cook but her food tastes awful and has given me some bad stomachaches. No one has the heart to tell her the food she makes tastes awful, though.

edit: Oh, I missed the accidental part. Not me but back in highschool my math teacher found a roach in his burger. Or well, it was half the roach. The cafeteria was popular for being over priced and not exactly clean.

A filet of Alaskan cod where the curled up parasite turned up halfway in.

Fortunately it was dead and the fish was well done.

I had just gotten some ice cream and I saw a spoon with leftover caramel sauce on it, so I licked the spoon. It wasn't leftover caramel sauce. It was dishwashing liquid.
