Well, it's not about whether someone is justified in saying that Dean is straight.

I think what OP is talking about is whether you can conclude that Dean is definitely and unquestionably straight, to the point where no other interpretations exist, based solely off of him saying that he is.

I really have no idea where you're coming from with this. the OP says that they don't even believe Dean is intended to be read as gay, and that they're only disagreeing with someone's argument about that. And I don't think anyone else ITT has said that Dean is definitely gay. So I don't know where this keeps coming from. You're arguing against a phantom.
