I've always said that when it comes to writing, to be able to write good stuff, you have to write bad stuff-- and I mean BAD STUFF. The same I think applies here-- one has to go through a bratty, judgey phase before one can level up to being a level headed fan. As long as you learned from that, then you're good.

As to your fic, it sounds absolutely charming, OP! I'm not especially familiar with Bill, I kind of fell out of the DW fandom after "The Angels Take Manhattan," but I would definitely love to read your fic!
