If that was the case, it sounds really vicious. I am against bullying and threats of any kind. I speak admittedly only from anecdotal evidence, but some sporking communities I hung around had rules against attacking the authors directly. I remember a few instances where trolls who reviewed paraphrasing the sporkings were called out in the communities themselves.

It's just... fics are public media, and I find subjecting them to criticism is innocuous. Threats or bullying are not, of course, but as long as the sporking was kept to the forums I find it fair game.
