She and the Suzaku/Euphie ship served a highly important plot and thematic purpose. The fact that this spark of tremendous idealism (personified by them both) died in such a spectacular manner says something about the role of idealism and hopes for happy, sparkly peace in the world of real (lol) politics and war.

Personally I consider it Sunrise's pastiche on its own Gundam franchise and a condemnation of idealists such as Relena and Lacus. It's not coincidence that it was easy to see Kira and Lacus in Suzaku and Euphie, nor was it coincidence that we see how their flaws make them unable to live up to their perfect images. It's not coincidence that she and idealism died in a plot point as absurd as the Euphinator.

It's brilliant, IMO. =P And Geass would not have been Geass if she survived.

... Dude, I never even thought of it like that. |D NICE WORK. The way you pointed it out made me feel like this is almost like why Gatsy had to die in The Great Gatsby--well, not quite for the same reason, but as in both Euphie's death and Gatsby's death symbolize some sort of death for romance and idealism.

olord, now you're making me analyze. D:

Well, it helped that I watched SEED, Destiny, and Geass one right after the other in the span of 8 days. You tend to see connections (for better or for worse) like that. XD

This is all I do in Geass fandom--analyze, analyze, analyze. And try to make fun of everything. >_>

Honestly I cannot take CG seriously haha even with the analysis. I'm shocked how serious the fandom is XD it needs more silly funtimes.

First of all, LOL @ icon. I loves me some Digimon.

Yeah, it's kinda lacking in crack, which is weird, considering how fanservicey and absurd the series is. As I tell everyone, Geass is a stupid, stupid, gay, gay show, and I truly believe that. But it also somehow managed to have compelling (if loltastically melodramatic) characters somehow, and not a day goes by that I don't ask myself how I got drawn into this, haha. Mea culpa. =P
