I TRIED SO HARD, AND I GOT SO FAR,

I like him for trying so hard and failing most of the time. Not sure if he qualifies as a Mary Sue or shemale though.

I found it awkward that L died at the 2/3 way mark, even though I wanted him to die. Maybe the Wammy kids' intro was too abrupt for me; I would've preferred a bit more foreshadowing. I'm still avoiding the manga because I'm afraid it'd be tl;dr like the subs. So, I don't think it's TEH GR8TEST SERIES EVARRRR either.
