What did everyone do for the 4th?

If you celebrated. I saw the fireworks, got two mosquito bites despite using bug spray, came home and comforted my poor anxious dogs. I told the drunk housemate that the older dog wasn’t dying, she was just freaked out. I didn’t tell him he’s an idiot, I just thought it really hard.

Fourth of July, everyone.

I stopped on the way home from the 7-11 to watch someone's illegal fireworks for a little bit.

I took a walk and went to get sodas, nearly getting lost in some neighborhood along the way.

I took a picture of my doll in her patriotic dance costume, had burgers and apple pie for lunch, read a book, studied for some tests, and now I'm watching Moana while comforting my dog and flinching every time some idiot sets off a firework in my neighborhood. I don't like the noise.

Was glad I could see the (far off) fireworks from a window in my house, watched them. Thankfully no one nearby's been setting off any and my cats don't care.

I decorated a cake to look like the American flag, then went to the park to watch the municipal fireworks display.

Went to happy hour with hubs and had a mediocre hamburger. The fries were good tho.

Slept in, dicked around online, had a chat with my beta reader, tried to comfort the dog, pilled my sister's asshole cat with only minimal damage (two claw holes in the palm of my hand; none of the bites actually broke the skin) and now I'm going to be doing some hand-sewing while I listen to the Ditch Diggers podcast.

Made frozen chocolate covered bananas. Went to a little party, and played Sushi Go and Pandemic. Teaching Sushi Go to new people is fun because the first round they're still figuring it out, but everything's clicking by the third (last) round. Then the second game you play, it's so fast and competitive!

Flew to Japan hahah and missed the entire day in flight

Listened to some patriotic music. Much better on my animals than fireworks.
