Demons, as long as they're the type who try to tempt people into damning themselves. People being manipulated into following their worst impulses. It's more powerful to me when the victims are made to have a hand in their own destruction.

This. My favourite versions of the Devil as well are the tempters and the manipulators, rather than the superpowered egomaniac versions out to destroy the world.
