122 As others have said, the difference is that Sondheim totally knows that it's a fucked up relationship. Portraying an obsessive relationship and reveling in the drama-llama is awesome. Portraying an obsessive relationship as the height of romance is scary.
123 Every place becomes a place for wank eventually, because when a comm/board/fandom/whatever gets to a certain size there are not only disagreements among the members, but also enough of an audience to feed the drama whores. Don't feed the trolls etc. But Genshiken image FTW!
