(Anonymous) 2008-06-02 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)If the vampires lived in secret, and Edward acted 100% more inhuman...and had been taught to stay away from those crazy outsiders. Then have Edward lurk too close and get interested. And perhaps have Bella work for the School Newspaper, and have her more interesting than a piece of soggy cardboard. Have Bella investigate a town urban legend, that vampires live in secret, out deep in the woods--in an attempt to fit in her new school. Adventure ensues. Two sides collide. Something like that. It would have got rid of some of the more annoying, hilariously bad, logic flaws that plague it. Seriously, SMeyer, it could have taken a few moments of your time to work out the logic flaws.
