The muscley Amazons in the beginning sequence were the best. Their bodies actually looked liked they were trained as warriors, which is the opposite of basically 100% other fighting women in mainstream movies.

OP if you find Amazons elsewhere, don't necessarily expect them to look muscley, though. You're more likely to find skinny supermodels.

It actually stands up remarkably well! You just have to take it as it is, which is cheesy 90s pulp fantasy, and not let your nostalgia goggles trick you into expecting something revolutionary.

It's dumb, but it's a fun dumb.

This secret is making me nostalgic for Linda Hamilton's first scenes in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I totally gasped when I saw her turn around. She was crazy pants but so, so muscly hot. And competent. Watching her check her rifle… Ysssss
