There was a period in my childhood when my friends insisted on playing with dolls for hours each day. I hated playing with dolls, but I was forced to do this in order to socialize. To make matters worse, one of my friends was obsessed with Britney Spears and insisted on playing her music on a loop for hours during the doll play. I hated Britney too. I still don't know why I didn't find other friends, but I really liked them as people and I was looking forward to doing something else with them.
