I liked Daredevil and Green Lantern too. They're not a favorite but they're definitely rewatchable. Not like Green Hornet, which can burn in a fire.

I really liked Ben Affleck's hair in Daredevil. Also the movie, but mostly the hair.

I am not much of an Affleck fan, I admit. But I liked Daredevil for both Pantoliano's Ben Urich and the late Michael Clarke Duncan's Kingpin.

I didn't even mind Green Lantern all that much.

He was a great Kingpin! I was really disappointed in D'Onofrio's Kingpin in the first season of MCU Daredevil, with the memory of Michael Clarke Duncan's version to compare to. Fortunately, D'Onofrio got a lot better in series 2.

I like both of these films. I was honestly surprised to find out GL got such a turned up nose by most people. I didn't see anything wrong with it?

Same. I never got the hate.

And I still like the soundtrack.

Eh, I recall people hating it when it came out.

I do as well, it was never about it being compared to current superhero movies, it just didn't gain a whole lot of fans even back then.

This.

I don't agree with OP that this was a good movie (I saw it in theatres as a child and to this day remember almost nothing about it) but I will agree that I think the general populace is more harsh towards the superhero movies of the early aughts now than they were at the time of release.

I have always considered it to be terrible, since it first came out. My OH and I joke that there are only three good things about the film:
- Colin Farrell, who plays it totally like a pantomime villain
- Michael Clarke Duncan, who is always awesome
- Jennifer Garner's bra designer

Never seen Daredevil,so I don't have an opinion on that. I just found GL to be really boring. I ended up leaving the room half way through. I do think people like to hate things so if something is bad everyone thinks you should hate it.

I've been thinking about watching GL again, what did you like about it?

I don't hate either of them tbh, they're not my favourite superhero movies by a long shot but I didn't mind watching them either. They're alright in their own ways.

I haven't seen Daredevil, so I can't comment on that. Green Lantern isn't bad, though. (Then again, I've only seen the extended edition...perhaps some of the cuts to the theatrical version made it harder to follow.)
