I'd want Force powers. I don't think I'd want to be a Jedi though. Maybe a Jedi librarian or Jedi doctor. I would like to study the Jedi, their history, and the Force, but I'd probably kill myself if I ever used a lightsaber, and I have a few problems with Jedi philosophy as it was practiced at the end of the Republic. But there were definitely Force users who were good and not Jedi. I'd like to be one of them who was friendly with the Jedi.

Yeah, agreed. I want force powers but I don't think I'd make a good Jedi.

Same. Force powers seem like too much work and responsibility, with too little pay off.

Chirrut and Baze are part of an entirely separate Force-worshipping religion, only peripherally connected to the Jedi? I do get the sentiment you are trying to convey, though.
