There's a huge difference between racist eugenicists and having the basic decency to consider the consequences of deciding to have a kid who you KNOW will be doomed to a lifetime of suffering from an incurable medical condition.

Try to consider that OP also suffers from this condition, and is more qualified than you to decide how much her daughter is suffering. Suffering is unavoidable, no matter your genetics.

I understand where you're coming from, but a managed condition like this is only a drop in the ocean of the potential for human suffering and you know next to nothing about this person.

Glad the film has been such a source of inspiration op.
