See, from what I know about the show it's target audience are young girls with a very idealized notion of romance, where emotions come first and little things like age and looks don't really matter when it comes to True Love, so it gets away with it. Rather simplified, yes, but it's how the genre works. Someone que the "The More You Know" star, please.

It is a combination of two things that a lot of videogame fans have fond memories of, Square and Disney's characters mixed together in what is, at it's best, a classic fairytale of good versus evil, like the ones we used to devour when we were young. Nostalgia features into it a lot, most likely.

And then there can be some, I dunno, clues and shit that he solves, but then he PUNCHES PEOPLE IN THE FACE. WHILE FLYING. HELL YEAH. God I'm the reason people hate people on the internet, so darn retarded and I don't even care.

LOLOLOLOL. Amazingness. Moriarty could, idk, have flying jetpacks on his feet so he and Holmes could have SLO-MO FLYING DEATH KICKS OF HELL YEAH!

We may be raping a beloved, classical franchise in all the holes one shouldn't rape it in, we may be perpetuating the stereotype that the internet has tunred today's youth into hyperactive wankers who think patience, afterthoughts and good taste to be the remnants of an outdated society and not for us, but dammit. We're having FUN being the ones who will bring about the downfall of tasteful civilization, and that is all that matters.

Also, at the end Moriarty and Holmes should have a fight in which they fall down a cliffside and it looks like Holmes is dead, but Watson/Sun Wulong's manly tears and Holmes knowledge of Kung Fu BRINGS HIM BACK TO LIFE. I'm thinking that this is where we blow whatever money is left in the budget on the biggest damn lasershow ever, as Holmes becomes Buddha or something because he's just that damn enlightened so that he and Watson won't have to be separated as the mystery gets solved and Watson has to take his place at the pantheon of chinese gods or w/e. Slashers are happy, people who just see movies for the explosions are happy, and we leave the door open for a sequel! HELLO MONEY LAND, POPULATION THE MAKERS OF THIS MOVIE!
