Oh, I agree. At the time they started broadcasting the severe storm warnings, we didn't know if it was going towards my aunt's place or not, so I might be overreacting a little, but probably not. If more people had gotten killed because they were only broadcasting lifesaving information during COMMERCIAL FUCKING BREAKS, I would have gone ballistic. Good thing Nascar's got such a high commercial-to-action ratio, eh?

Ehh, I call not, too. Severe storms are, pardon the internet slang, serious business things. When I was younger, a lack of a proper warning system in my locale resulted in my neighborhood being ripped to shreds by straight-line winds. I was none too pleased about it, either. Later, a lack of them again, I might add, resulted in more straight-line wind damage and a tree crushing the part of the house in which I used to reside. There were no severe thunderstorm warnings issued, that day. And thankfully I didn't live there anymore. But imagine if I had been?

I'm really glad that the death toll was low in the northen suburbs. If it had been higher, especially with all this stupid bitching, I think the death toll would have rose. I try really hard to keep humanism in mind, but my overwhelming distaste for humanity is difficult to hide. Probably due to frequent abuse of such wonderful emotions as disgust.

But yes, I'm glad for that. All sports are pretty loaded to the brim with advertising.
