Literally all those women I mentioned were talked to. It opened with talking to women.

And it was divided into two sections basically. Before the Tango in Paris picture it focused on women, after the picture it focused on men.

There are dozens of articles on actresses and rape scenes. It is extremely interesting to here about how it effects the cast, crew, and actors.

And yet, I came away feeling like there was much more focus on the men and their reactions, and the women were glossed.

It still makes me angry. I don't *care* how men feel when they're *not forced in any way* to film a rape scene. Maybe they should learn better storytelling.

If you don't use rape as the go-to fucking motivation, backstory, story-arc support or raison d'être for your square-jawed hero, you won't be 'forced' to sit and watch a rape twenty times in editing.

If it is part of the story, it should be included in the movie. Sorry that you think a real aspect of people's lives should not ever be shown in movies.

I hope you feel the same way about murder scenes.

Because I said anything about editing out real people's experiences. They only mentioned *one* movie, that i recall, that had rape in it because it was in the 'source' material.

And yes, actually, I do - I'm fucking sick of gore-porn in half the damn movies out there, and seemingly in *all* of the horror movies.

Wait.
So you seriously believe that men playing rapists couldn't in any way possibly be affected by this as well and think it's all nice and funny and pleasant? Because they somehow all actually want nothing more than act in a rape scene?
And do you actually believe no actress ever read the script beforehand and instead was totally surprised and forced into a sudden rape scene that just happened to appear out of thing air?

Is that what i said? No, I did not. I said " I don't *care* how men feel when they're *not forced in any way* to film a rape scene." Film, not act. I'm quite well aware of how, for instance, James Marsters felt about the whole 'Seeing Red' episode.

I'm talking about directors and producers and editors boo-hooing over how haaaaaard it was to watch this rape scene over and over in editing. I'm saying - fix your piss-poor storytelling 'talents' so that rape isn't the only way you can give the 'lead' character motivation, emotion, backstory, wtf ever.

And i have *no* clue where you're going with the second 'point' as, once again, i was talking about filming, not acting, and men, not women.

But, for the record, no, I don't think that actress should have *apologized* to that actor for having been part of a rape scene; i think the writer and director and whoever else decided it was so fucking 'necessary' should have been apologizing to everyone for being such asshats.

Now i have showers to take and breakfast to eat and things to do that don't involve being deliberately or possibly accidentally (in which case, wow) misunderstood in such ridiculous ways.

So it was a misunderstanding, boo-fucking-hoo. The term "film" is used for actors doing their job all the damn time so don't pretend that what you wrote wasn't ambiguous enough to understand just that.
