Brain chemistry, most likely. Depression lies to you. It tells you that you're worthless and alone when neither of those things are true. It tells you that the world and your family/friends are better off without you when in fact there are people who will have their heart torn out if anything happens to you. Depression tells you there's no point in seeking help because you're stuck and helpless.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way, anon. I hope you can talk to someone and get help.
