idk, only her face and neck are shiny, the rest isn't, which just makes it look really unnatural to me. Shininess doesn't really seem to me what one looks like standing in the rain. And I've seen this in other games, too - Dragon Age 3 comes to mind, that was the first time I really noticed it.

IDK about Dragon Age 3 but Horizon Zero Dawn is a poor example of what you're talking about. The rain, the lighting, and her posture all add up just fine. It seems like you're seeing what you want to see instead of what's actually there.

I'm seeing it too. Her face looks way too shiny compared to the rest of her, even being in the rain. It looks very silly to me, and while I think the rest of her design looks interesting (and fit for someone who does things like parkour), I definitely wouldn't use it as an example of a good character image and agree with the person you were replying too that it looks off.

What a weird retort? I don't spend a whole lot of brain energy focused on examining whether or not video game characters look like rubber, but this one's face really does and I am commenting on it. Not sure why you think I harbor some kind of intense bias that prevents me from objectively looking at video game screenshots lol
