I want a tv show based on her actual, unsanitized autobiography "Pioneer Girl" that included one hell of a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the kids' books, such as the time Laura at 13 or 14 was almost molested by the husband of a family she was working for and she scared him off by threatening to scream and wake up the rest of the household.

Yes, and it is AMAZING. I'd love a movie just about her.

Yes, it veered into melodrama and sometimes relied on soap-opera-type stunts, but mostly it was about a family and their struggles and triumphs. Though, I will say that blowing up the town in the end was way over the top.

As to a TV movie, there's The Father I Knew about Michael Landon. And there are also a few of cast reunions on talk shows. But I don't know, you might get your wish, they've done it for Beverly Hills, 90210 and Saved by the Bell.
