133. OH MY GOD. You - thank you! I could never pinpoint exactly why the pairing rubbed me the wrong way, but that's it. My friend said it was because I secretly shipped House/Cameron, but I knew that wasn't it! XD That makes so much sense now, that I feel really stupid for not realizing it earlier. That aside, I agree that the pairings have little to nothing in common, and it bugs me that so many people are ranting out the new team by saying they're the old team with different names and skin colours. They're NOT. In fact, it may be considered a blasphemy, but New Team >>> Old Team, in my opinion. Foreman's great, but he often gets on my nerves, and while I don't understand the extreme Cameron-hate in House fandom, I don't care for her much. I liked Chase a lot, but Kutner, Taub and 13 are just too awesome.
116. Yeah, I know. I honestly don't think he can be mad at him for long, really. I mean, after all, he put House in a coma. If anything, he should feel guilty. House did risk his life basically to make Wilson happy, and that's friendship for you. Coming from anyone, especially House, who can be quoted as saying, "I don't sacrifice self," that's pretty much the most amazing thing one could do for someone else. I know he's not going to immediately forgive all and just go back to being buddy buddy, but I need Wilson to be able to realize the extent that House obviously cares for him due to what he did in Wilson's Heart. I know he's not going to want to face House for a while, and the lack of House and Wilson screentime interaction is going to take a major toll on my happiness. D:

He's not broken, he's having a really good time (except when people die or nearly die and he thinks it's his fault--really, it's not his job to oversee the lab techs, I work in a teaching hospital and we don't send the postdoctoral fellows down to make sure they angio the right leg, we pay the techs to be literate enough to read the orders on their own even if the hot fellow is in there being flirtatious).
Of the original 3 ducks, he was the only one who was really complex. I had high hopes for Foreman until they turned him into Good Boy Who Got Out Of the Ghetto, because that's not a stereotype or anything, and Cameron always annoyed me with her gooeyness, although I've liked her better recently than I did in S1. Possibly she's had a few good whippings and it's given her teeth.
tl;dr: I love Chase like burning and hate it when he's not in an ep (the hypnosis was like a birthday present for mememe) but I don't like Foreman or Cameron much.
I liked Cameron some in S3, but everyone in S3 was so out of character: Wilson was screwing House over right and left at Tritter's insistence, Chase was being P-whipped by a girl who is so vanilla I can't imagine it being good for him once they started doing it without crystal meth to help things along (you know that he felt guilty about that, but also that he totally loved being the only one in control when she was that fucked up on speed), Foreman was quiet, and Cameron was...acting like a grownup. S3 is the only season I kept the torrents and haven't bought the DVDs yet because I'm waiting for the price to go down on eBay. I refuse to pay $40 for Tritter and Chase may be having sex but he isn't taking his clothes off.
I agree with you that Taub, 13 and Kutner PWN Foreman and Cameron (but not Chase, sry) into the year 3000. Remy Hadley is compassionate, but in a smart, snarky and nihilistic way, a "I'm probably/definitely going to die horribly, I don't deserve it, the world sucks and the only way to make it suck less is to be excellent to people" way, not a gooey "I-love-people-who-die-on-me because I'm such a saintly person" way. Kutner...I just want to know more about him, an Indian guy with a Jewish or German last name, his parents died, who took him in, why did he change his name? And Taub the fanboy :)
I am kinda livid that Amber died. I ship H/W like...ok, 90% of the universe...but that would have been an interesting OT3--she brought their issues into sharp relief and she loved sex and trying new things. I could easily have seen her dragging Greg into bed with them (and then Fox could let the viewers draw their own conclusions as to whether or not there was any boytouching, and we would all be happy).

YES. O.O; They're my only OT3. I truly believe they would've worked fantastically, and it would've made me so freaking happy. The writers ruined EVERYTHING. DX

He totally needs to have Foreman's job as head of the ducklings. And the thing is, if you're really good at a university hospital, you hang around forever. Postdocs grow up to be assistant profs and all. People don't suddenly go from medicine to surgery (that's weird) but it wouldn't be at all weird for him to be at PPTH for 20 years, just continually trading up jobs.
I am so down with House/Wilson/Amber = OT3. And I would have loved to see it on TV. (Plus, my actual RL bulletproof kink is m/f/m three-ways. For some reason I seem to end up writing stuff like m/m incest, but when it comes to stuff I wish I'd done when I had the chance? m/f/m three-way all the way bb. That would be so hot. Fox wouldn't show us the sex, but wouldn't we all write it!)

The funny thing about me is that honestly, before House/Wilson/Amber, if a girl was in a three way, I didn't find a lot of interest in it. I wrote one, I think, but for the most part, if I wrote a threeway at all, it was male twins with one other guy. (I know, I'm...yeah.) But after everything I imagined for House, Amber and Wilson? He wouldn't work under House. But neither does Wilson. (What Wilson does under House, after all, is not defined as "work" in any legal context :DDD)
Eh, I'm really tired of hearing slashers diss themselves as being misogynist because they don't write or read sex with girls in it. I guess all those guys who only like girl on girl porn are big man-haters y/n? And I say this as a person who mostly wrote het, initially.
The thing is, Amber is really likable. A lot of female "love interests" aren't; they're constructed out of stuff that fits in the hollow parts of the male lead's characterisation, and then the het fans call slashers misogynist for killing them off, divorcing them out, turning them bitchy or doing whatever is necessary to get these sad fucking mistakes of "female characters" out of the story so they can write about people who have actual personalities.
I write tons of het in original stuff, but slash mostly in fanfic, and I don't think it's because I don't like women, I think it's because I don't like the women they give me on television that often.
(I clearly need more than one House icon. I realised this season that even though I have written more ficcage for other fandoms, I actually like it better than most of the shows I write about more.)
PS: Canon is the one thing you are allowed to copy freely from in writing fanfic. When something happens in canon that I started to write before in fic, I don't stop myself, I pat my own back obnoxiously and say "I CALLED THAT BOOYAH GO ME"

I know what you mean. My friends tease me about being an anti-feminist, but that's not it. I don't hate women in general, just 85% of the ones presented in fandom, is all. In fact, I actually didn't like Amber until the accident (well, it wasn't that I didn't like her, I just was wary to trust her until it was too late. :/ I really regret that now, but it's always been my problem when "new" characters are introduced.) Of course, now, watching back all the old episodes, I adore her unconditionally. (Tis always the case with characters I like. They hardly ever make it to the end. :/)
You could always have some of mine! I have a ton, but I never use them 'cause I'm lazy. XD;;
