I think "those people" are expecting a certain level of realism in media. Like the BBC show that takes place in the remote and sparsely populated Shetland Islands with a cast of 10 people, and like 4 of them are various different races and nationalities. Come the fuck on, that's just pandering.

Yeah, it's a great show. I just couldn't stop wondering how all those various minorities ended up in the middle of nowhere above Scotland.

Do you think there's not enough characters from the Shetlands community on the series? Cause there's like... a bunch. most of the characters on the show are from there.
