Furry talk yesterday had me wondering. Are non-animate non-biological personas a thing? Attack helicopter jokes aside, is there someone out there who identifies as a refrigerator who draws art of their fridgesona?

If you had to pick a non-animate thing to identify with or as, what would you pick?

I know there are people who are sexually attracted to inanimate objects, but I don't know of anyone who identifies as one.

Maybe Transformers fans, but I don't know if that even counts.

Do robots count?

(Anonymous) 2017-07-25 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Well.

Kinda deep question there, really

Like the woman who married a piece of a roller coaster?

Or the girl that loves the Eiffel Tower?

Yeah, I used to use a spatula as my author avatar since it was my username and I was in an art group where people would draw me as one. It was great.

I've seen a deviantart account that did sexualized anthro cars. I don't know if the "artist" had a carsona, though.

Is your refrigerator running?

[personal profile] cbrachyrhynchos 2017-07-25 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
You better run and catch it!

If I had to choose an inanimate object, I'm going with a Kitchenaid Mixer because I like baking. Plus, my body can be used to beat someone to death if need be.

We did a handful of thought exercises/writing exercises like this in my 10th grade English class. I think one was specifically what kitchen utensil you'd be, and I went with a blender. I was criticized for not better explaining in my writing why I'd be a blender, but the truth is, I just really like blenders.
