DA I'd say that depends on the person though, for me personally it's better to go in with low expectations then high ones, because whenever I get too hyped about something I automatically go into critical mode (I can't help it.) BUT if I am not expecting something to be great, then even if it's average I may still have a good time. Yes occasionally I think is something is going to be bad and it is bad, but my confirmation bias isn't always all that strong.

So for me personally, hearing/thinking anything critical about the new Doctor won't really have a negative effect on my view of her performance, in fact it may end up doing the opposite.
