I really don't begrudge comprehensive health care for anyone in government service, including viagra, but let's not pretend that trans health care is an undue burden on the VA budget.

I just have a knee jerk negative response to money being spent on viagra because it's not essential medically but it's still difficult in many places to get birth control (which, in spite of what many conservatives believe, can actually be a medical necessity as it helps to treat many female conditions/diseases.)

If trans people and people who need access to birth control/etc all had everything covered then I would take less issue with money being spent on viagra, but that's not how things currently are.

I can see that. I just don't agree with making political exceptions for health care coverage across the board, including for abortion, birth control, PReP, HPV vaccination, or viagra.
