I agree. Is this unpopular? I hope Leia demonstrates some more Force abilities in The Last Jedi, but she's more important where she is. Her role is as important as Luke's. It doesn't matter if the Jedi come back if there is no justice in the galaxy. The Resistance need the Jedi, but the Jedi will need the Resistance too.

It is very much an unpopular opinion. I haven't read much Legends material but I think Leia trains with a lightsaber in those so some people think Disney is stripping her of *awesomeness!!!* and there are a lot of people who threaten to riot if Finn doesn't turn out to be a Jedi. They say they've been lied to by the marketing and insist reading him as Force-sensative is the only right way to like the character. They're vicious if you like something else or are okay with him just being an interesting character in his own right.
