I'm guess there are several reasons. Sometimes the folks who post that are doing it for the first time, and it's liberating as fuck.

Personally, I wouldn't list all the things that have happened in my past, but I understand why some would. I'm sure there are a few attention whores in the mix, but what can ya do.
