My biggest issue is the casting for Light. Looks like a fucking generic doofus.

The way they did his makeup in several scenes (and his terrible dye job) he basically looks like this stereotype of a messy social outcast who's listening to grunge and metal and turns into a school shooter. Which is so far removed from original Light it's plain hilarious.

lol that was exactly my comment when i saw him "school shooter". *everyone* would suspect this light of killing people, this guy couldn't charm his way out of a paper bag.

he's way more suited to pay L. L seems way too handsome and cool they should have switched roles

If they switched it, you'd have people complaining about the black guy being a killer/the bad guy. But aside from that, I absolutely agree - the actor playing L doesn't fit the role at all and if they switched, it would at least be slightly better (just please someone dye the Light actor's hair properly. What the hell is that mess?).
