(Anonymous) 2017-07-27 09:19 am (UTC)(link)It's like this trend of calling every skin condition ~beautiful~. Like stretch marks, scars, discolorations or, my favourite, acne.
Fuck you, acne isn't beautiful. It's pus filled pimples and pain and misery and heavy medication if you want to get rid of it. There's nothing ~beautiful~ about it.

(Anonymous) 2017-07-27 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)What I actually meant was that I'm a good looking person who is deeply unphotogenic. Like, I can take a picture of myself from the best angle I can find, and then take some haphazard video of myself immediately after, and I will always look waaaaay better in the video. So I see unflattering pictures of myself all the time. But if I ever say anything about not liking how I look in a picture, someone always jumps in to tell me "Oh no, it's a great picture!" They mean to be nice, I guess, but it's like they're saying, "You're not unphotogenic, you're just actually plain as fuck." Which would bother me less if it weren't for the fact that I'm body dismorphic and have a hard time forming a clear sense of my own appearance.
